BMW launched 2 new maxi-scooters in the 2011 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The C600 Sport and also the C650GT are BMW Motorrad’s make an effort to fight the difficulties of inner-city traffic, rising energy costs, and greater CO2 regulations. BMW enters the lucrative scooter segment having a pair of twin-cylinder maxi-scoots claimed to mix the agility and luxury of a scooter using the riding qualities of the motorcycle. The C600 Sport is, like its name suggests, may be the sportier version. Unlike the implication of their name, the “600” Sport actually uses exactly the same liquid-cooled 647cc parallel-Twin engine because the more luxurious C650GT.


The sporty C600 Sport and much more touring biased C650 GT have ample overall performance featuring, as so that they should with basic prices of £9395 for that Sport and £9705 for that GT. The C650 may be the model more prone to be fitted with accessories, which there is a good selection, together with a luggage rack and top-box, along with a bag that matches into the space while watching seat. Other areas include tyre pressure indicators, running lights, pillion backrest, alternative screens (no taller ones though) and seats, along with the heated grips and seat. There’s even an Akrapovic silencer along with a set of chrome bits for bar-ends and footboards.
